Eligibility requirements
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience working in an abattoir or meat processing plant, in knife-handling roles (slaughtering, boning, slicing) with pork, beef, lamb, or goat;
- Age from 18 – 38 years old;
- Have a basic understanding of English (*)
- Good health according to Australian Government regulations;
- NO criminal history;
Note: Candidates will take a FREE English entry assessment conducted by our trusted partner, 8A Dạy Kèm; To be eligible for the Subclass 482 Visa, candidates must reach an English level equivalent to PTE 36, which is basic workplace communication English.

Enrolment process
To join the Australian Meat School (AMS) program, applicants go through five (05) clear steps. At each stage, AMS provides guidance and support so applicants understand what to do and what to expect.
Step 1: Research the Program
Before submitting an application, applicants are encouraged to carefully review all relevant information about the AMS program, including:
- Career opportunities and work pathways in Australia;
- Eligibility requirements for the program;
- Tuition fees, payment stages, and what is included;
- Documents to prepare and estimated time for each stage;

Taking time to research helps applicants understand whether the program is suitable and avoid unnecessary time or costs.
Step 2: Prepare Your Application Documents
Applicants must be truthful and honest when completing the required documents.
Do not attempt to submit fraudulent or false documentation. Our highly experienced staff will verify all paperwork and are trained to identify false information, false declarations and fraudulent submissions.
1. Personal Documents
- Passport
- National ID card
- Birth certificate
- Proof of residence (if applicable)
- Resume
2. English documents
- CV in English
- English procifiency certificate: PTE minimum 36 or IELTS minimum 5.0 (if available)
👉If an applicant does not yet hold a PTE or IELTS certificate, they are required to study English with 8A Dạy Kèm, alongside AMS’s English communication classes, following the program’s learning pathway.
3. Work experience documents
- Employment contract (required);
- Video showcasing the butchering/slicing skills of beef, pork, or lamb, filmed using the Timestamp Camera Free app. The video must be seamless, unedited, with full audio, clear images, and a clear view of the candidate’s face.
- Payslips/Attendance records/Time sheets/Bank statements (if available);
- A certificate of work experience (required) must clearly state: Start and end dates of employment; Job title or daily tasks performed;
- Business license or business registration of the workplace (if applicable);
👉 AMS does not accept applications that contain false information or forged documents.
Step 3: First Payment & Application Review
After submitting the required documents, applicants proceed with the first payment (application review fee).
- This fee is non-refundable;
- Applicants have up to two (02) months from the payment date to complete and submit all required documents;
- If mandatory documents are not fully submitted within two months, the application will be cancelled.
👉 During this period, AMS staff will guide applicants on how to complete their documents correctly.
Step 4: Eligibility Checks & Assessments
If the application meets requirements and passes the integrity check, AMS will arrange:
- A physical fitness assessment
- English proficiency test
- A general health check
These assessments ensure applicants are fit to study, train, and work in Australia in line with Australian regulations.
Step 5: Receive Official Enrollment Notification
Applicants who successfully complete all steps will:
- Receive an official offer of enrollment;
- Begin the AMS training program according to the confirmed schedule
