Starting from August, Australian Meat School (AMS) officially raises the age limit from 35 to 38.

Starting from August, Australian Meat School (AMS) officially raises the age limit from 35 to 38.

This means: Workers aged 18 to 38, who meet the entry requirements, are now eligible to join the program.

This decision aims to open up more opportunities for skilled workers who were previously rejected simply because of age.

AMS helps to upskill Vietnamese meat workers and support their journey to work and live in Australia. We assist with job placement and provide end-to-end support – from training and visa preparation to settling into life and work in Australia.

Enrolment Requirements:

  • From 18 – 38 years old;
  • Minimum 24 months experience in beef, pork, lamb (butchering, slicing, slaughtering);
  • Basic English skills;
  • Good health, as per Australian Government regulations
  • No criminal record;
